The Community Counsellor provides a wide range of support for pregnant and parenting youth.
The following are examples of information and/or support, the Community Counselor can provide. (List is not limited to examples):
- Housing
- Advocacy
- Education
- Pre-post natal information and education
- Financial Assistance
- Maternity/ baby clothes
- Referrals
The Community Counsellor promotes awareness and provides information for community by informing community agencies and presenting to schools across the Peel Region.

Hours: Sunday – Thursday 3:00pm – 10:30pm
- Vita Manor has four beds available for young pregnant women.
- Mother and baby can stay at Vita Manor until baby is three months old.
- The main focuses of the Residential program are as follows:
- Health and safety of mother and newborn
- Continuing education and/or skills training
- Independent living skills
- Stress management
- Affordable housing
- Connecting to the community
- Vita Manor provides advocacy and referrals to other agencies, when necessary.

Vita Centre offers Motherhood and Fatherhood parenting groups. These are offered at various dates, times and locations. Each group can be adjusted to meet the group’s needs or interests.
Benefits:
- Small group interaction, and a friendly social environment that allows them to learn in a non-judgmental setting.
