Volunteer Positions available for students
Watch out for our Bowl-a-thon - students form teams to participate and gain volunteer hours.

Vita Centre is looking for volunteers who believe that the creation of life is sacred. We believe that our mission is best achieved by the active participation of the community. Our volunteers are our most valuable resource and they play an important role within our agency. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, some volunteer one time for a special event, others make an ongoing commitment. 



  Some of the positions that Vita Centre has available for volunteers include:
 


  • Board Membership - a member of the Board of Directors, who set policy
  • Committee Membership - to help build the organization ( Fundrasing, Operations, Finance, Governance) 
  • Special Events support – help out at our special events, (Golf, Bingo, Dinner Dance, Trivia Night etc)
  • Office Support - assist in the administrative tasks of the agency
  • Client Support - provide guidance and support to a pregnant woman during and after delivery
  • Transportation - drive clients to appointments and workshops. Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage
  • Housing Search - guide clients in a search for adequate and reasonable accommodations
  • Speakers Bureau - giving presentations in the community (schools, service groups, functions and promotional campaigns)
  • Skills/Educational Consultant: Present a skill or activity to our youth parents. Share your expertise with clients or staff members.
  • Child care support – Assist with child care at our life skills workshops for youth parents.

  • Currently recruiting child minding volunteers for our GAP program at two locations
    Brampton Location
    : Bramalea Civic Centre Ontario Early Years Centre - 150 Central Park Dr, #101, L6T 1B4
    Time: Fridays from 9a.m. to 11a.m.

    Mississauga Location: Ontario Early Years Centre, Tomken Public School- 3160 Tomken Rd. Mississauga L4Y 2Y6
    Time: Fridays from 1p.m. - 3p.m.
