Vita Centre is looking for volunteers who believe the creation of life is sacred. We believe that our mission is best achieved by the active participation of the community. If you can commit 2-4 hours per week or month, Vita Centre can provide you with a volunteer placement that best suits your interests, skills and needs.

• Board Membership - a member of the Board of Directors, who set policy
• Committee Membership - to help build the organization through fundraising etc.
• Special Events support – help out at our special events, (golf, bingo, dinner dance, baby show etc)
• Office Support - assist in the administrative tasks of the agency
• Client Support - provide guidance and support to a pregnant woman during and after delivery
• Transportation - drive clients to appointments and workshops. Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage
• Housing Search - guide clients in a search for adequate and reasonable accommodations
• Speakers Bureau - giving presentations in the community (schools, service groups, functions and promotional campaigns
• Activity Night - provide recreational activities for clients, (crafts, bowling, theatre)
• Skills/Educational Consultant: Present a skill or activity to our youth parents. Share your expertise with clients or staff members.
• Child care support – Assist with child care at our life skills workshops for youth parents.
• House Maintenance Support: Assist with occasional maintenance at our office and house (painting, carpentry etc)
• Gardening/Outdoor support - enhance the yard and house with flowers and perhaps a vegetable garden. You could also assist us with the lawn care snow clearing
